Japanese ​Student's Association

If you would like to join the 2013-2014 JSA executive board, please fill out this form and submit a copy of your election speech in the form provided below. The speech should be around two to three minutes in length. Minor changes may be made to the speech after submission before the actual election on September 15th, 2:00PM in the Gowen Room in Wilson Commons.

 

There are currently four open positions: 

 

Vice President: Responsible for duties of the President if in case the President is absent, along with overseeing subcommittees as necessary, and issuing and keeping an account for all keys issued to officers. Will be the Virtual EMS contact for the club, in charge of all reservations necessary for events, including room reservations, flex machine reservations, and booking banner/display areas. 

 

Secretary: Responsible for maintaining a current copy of this constitution open to inspection by all members of this organization, Senators, and all members of the Students’ Association.  The secretary is also responsible for taking roll call at all meetings, tally votes, keep an accurate list of organization members and take and maintain meeting minutes.

 

Business Manager: Responsible for maintaining all finances and keep detailed records of all transactions.

 

Webmaster: Responsible for managing both the JSA Facebook page and the JSA website. In addition, Webmaster will be responsible for any other technology related tasks such as maintaining an archive of photos and videos. 

 

Undergraduate Representative: The underclassmen representative will act as a liaison between the JSA eboard and the freshman, sophomore class in order to relay any event ideas, or suggestions to and from the club. 

 

Freshman may not run for President, Vice President, or Business Manager. They may however, run for these positions at the end of the year elections.
